Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend solutions for omnichannel retail and order management processes.
- Develop, test, debug, and deploy Java-based microservices.
- Implement integrations supporting order orchestration, inventory visibility, fulfillment, returns, and payment flows.
- Maintain and improve existing services for quality, maintainability, reliability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot software defects, integration issues, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment processes.
- Translate functional specifications into scalable technical solutions.
- Collaborate with QA Engineers on testing strategies and automated testing.
- Recommend technical enhancements and optimizations for digital products and platforms.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and work with multinational, cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Java Software Engineer.
- Strong expertise in Java 21 and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and Spring Cloud.
- Experience developing microservices with event-driven architectures and API-first principles.
- Experience with Order Management Systems, Fluent Commerce, order orchestration, and omnichannel retail processes.
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON, XML, HTTP, and GraphQL.
- Experience building e-commerce and omnichannel solutions covering order lifecycles, inventory visibility, fulfillment, returns, and payments.
- Proficiency with MySQL and MongoDB.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD environments.
- Experience with event messaging and integration systems such as AWS SQS and Solace.
- Familiarity with OAuth2, OIDC, Keycloak, and Okta.
- Experience with IntelliJ, SonarQube, Datadog, Insomnia, Jira, Confluence, Maven, Git, Snyk, and Robot Framework.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Fluency in English; French or other languages is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, independent-working, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
