Base Salary
$120k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve the platform that deploys and operates customer environments.
- Develop infrastructure as code using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Zarf, Big Bang, Packer, and related tooling.
- Improve Kubernetes platforms and surrounding systems.
- Build deployment automation that reduces risk and manual work.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot platform capabilities collaboratively with other engineers.
- Write automated tests for infrastructure and deployment workflows.
- Improve observability, reliability, security, and recoverability.
- Document system rationale and operational practices.
- Continuously improve platform operations through incremental changes and incident follow-up.
Requirements
- Comfort working across Kubernetes, Linux, networking fundamentals, Git, GitLab CI, infrastructure as code, Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Zarf, containers, PKI, certificate management, secrets management, observability, infrastructure testing, and distributed-systems troubleshooting.
- Ability to learn quickly and become productive in unfamiliar systems.
- Ability to collaborate, explain technical reasoning and tradeoffs, validate work, and communicate clearly.
- Commitment to automation, small batches, incremental improvement, and team ownership.
