Base Salary
$91k - $144k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality software, unit tests, system architecture, and automation solutions using clean-code principles.
- Provide standardized cloud infrastructure and application deployment solutions across multiple products.
- Design scalable, resilient, event-driven, secure, multi-tenant microservices and apply object-oriented and functional programming practices.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, lead individual-story designs, and break designs into subtasks.
- Debug, diagnose, and resolve complex enterprise application and operational issues while eliminating repeat occurrences.
- Review and influence software designs and implementations and provide feedback to fellow engineers.
- Coach other engineers on technical and interpersonal best practices and serve as the expert for a designated technical area.
- Participate in backlog grooming, planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and day-to-day operational support.
- Consider information security in coding and code reviews and stay current with technology trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a STEM field.
- Minimum 8 years of software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Spring Boot, Python, and Bash.
- Hands-on proficiency with HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, object-oriented design, Linux/Unix, and Windows platforms.
- Experience debugging and diagnosing issues in complex enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of GitHub, GitHub Actions, and DevSecOps.
- Intermediate understanding of virtualization and private, hybrid, and public cloud computing.
- Intermediate understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services on major cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
