Responsibilities
- Architect and drive the Gaia Emblem engine’s technical roadmap, including LLM integration, RAG pipelines, and prompt-engineering frameworks.
- Design and operate scalable GPU-aware Kubernetes infrastructure with scheduling, autoscaling, and cost-efficient resource utilization.
- Build resilient, high-throughput distributed systems and microservices exposed through gRPC and REST APIs.
- Own data engineering pipelines for ML workflows, including ingestion, transformation, and storage across SQL, NoSQL, and search systems.
- Establish engineering standards for CI/CD, test automation, observability, and infrastructure as code.
- Lead architecture and design reviews, mentor engineers, and drive cross-team technical initiatives.
- Debug and optimize distributed, GPU-backed services while evaluating new ML engineering tools and infrastructure patterns.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 8+ years building distributed production-grade backend systems.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with LLM-based systems, RAG architectures, or applied ML infrastructure.
- Production-scale Kubernetes experience, including GPU-backed workloads and platforms such as OpenShift, EKS, or GKE.
- Demonstrated Staff-level technical leadership through architecture decisions, cross-team initiatives, and mentoring.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, and JavaScript.
- Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, distributed systems, microservices, data engineering, and cloud or GPU infrastructure.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, SQL, NoSQL, Docker, Helm, Terraform, AWS, Git, and related engineering practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field required.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field preferred.
- Node.js, backend web development, Jenkins, formal verification, and enterprise data protection or infrastructure software experience are preferred.
