Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of distributed data pipelines and systems while providing system-wide architectural guidance.
- Make architectural decisions that balance execution speed with long-term reliability and scalability requirements.
- Drive engineering best practices and operational excellence across the team.
- Solve complex technical problems involving multiple risks and roadblocks through clear, well-designed solutions.
- Mentor and coach multiple engineers and help develop technical talent.
- Communicate technical designs effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- At least 5 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
