Responsibilities
- Consult with internal business groups to provide advanced application software development services and technical support.
- Resolve highly complex problems affecting the corporation’s ability to conduct business.
- Program well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites.
- Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation for requirements and solutions.
- Maintain software functionality and currency, including technical debt and gain.
- Participate in code reviews and integrate software components into fully functional systems.
- Apply security and privacy principles.
- Influence broad-based technology strategy for large IT divisions using knowledge of diverse technologies.
- Lead complex projects and programs and drive teams toward successful outcomes.
- Communicate complex technical topics clearly with clients, teams, business units, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 9–11 years of diverse experience in multiple areas of information technology.
- Direct mainframe experience is required.
- Experience in diverse mainframe technical environments and one or more mainframe infrastructure, hardware, system programming, or application development technologies.
- Alternative experience must demonstrate high learning agility to acquire mainframe technology knowledge and apply prior experience to operational outcomes.
- Experience in tooling, utilities, data transport, architecture, and design principles.
- Experience leading complex projects and programs.
- Ability to build relationships, think strategically, influence stakeholders, and lead across clients, teams, business units, and functions.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred.
