Base Salary

$150k - $185k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define system security requirements, technical controls, security architectures, documentation, diagrams, and implementation artifacts.
  • Assess application, infrastructure, network, cloud, data, API, integration, and AI/ML security risks and attack vectors.
  • Support RMF, ATO preparation, security assessments, vulnerability remediation, POA&M development, continuous monitoring, and ongoing authorization.
  • Evaluate authentication, authorization, identity, access control, encryption, logging, monitoring, configurations, and proposed system changes.
  • Partner with software, DevOps, platform, data science, product, security, and government stakeholders to implement secure engineering solutions.
  • Automate security checks, compliance validation, configuration management, reporting, and security operations workflows.
  • Integrate security requirements into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code processes and execute CVE scans.
  • Support customer security reviews, technical discussions, demonstrations, deployment, and accreditation in customer-specific environments.

Requirements

  • Active TS//SCI clearance and Counterintelligence or Lifestyle Polygraph.
  • At least 3 years of experience in information systems security engineering, cybersecurity, systems engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of system and application security principles, NIST frameworks, and NIST SP 800-53.
  • Experience supporting RMF and/or ATO processes and evaluating technical architectures for security risks.
  • Experience with identity and access management, authentication, authorization, encryption, logging, and monitoring.
  • Understanding of secure software development and DevSecOps practices.
  • Strong technical documentation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate security requirements into technical solutions.
  • Preferred experience with DoD, Intelligence Community, federal customers, classified or air-gapped environments, FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-37, RMF, CNSSI, ICD, or DoD security requirements.
  • Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud-native architectures, Terraform, CI/CD, vulnerability scanning, Splunk, SIEM platforms, endpoint monitoring, security logging, zero trust, least-privilege access, AI/ML systems, LLMs, data or knowledge management systems, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Preferred security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or equivalent, and ability to obtain additional SAP or ACCM clearance access.
