Base Salary
$107k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of embedded applications and network configurations for current and future Axon products.
- Implement reliable, high-performance features in C/C++, Go, or Python.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and system-level tests.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical problem solving.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, Firmware, and Cloud Engineering teams.
- Debug and resolve issues across embedded devices, networking layers, and supporting systems.
- Support sprint planning, retrospectives, release cycles, and other engineering process improvements.
- Learn and apply modern open source tools and frameworks relevant to embedded systems.
Requirements
- Require 1–3 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one of C/C++, Go, or Python.
- Professional experience working with Linux-based systems.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Exposure to embedded devices and networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, or VPN is a plus.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, mission-critical engineering environment.
