Base Salary
$125k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SpaceX’s core test infrastructure framework and supporting applications.
- Build tools for production testing, integration testing, hardware and software validation, and high-fidelity simulations.
- Improve the reliability, performance, and safety of test software and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with flight software engineers and users across the company to develop features and improve user experiences.
- Own all aspects of software engineering and product development for test infrastructure.
- Investigate user problems and create efficient solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a scientific discipline, or 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 1 year of experience with C/C++.
- At least 1 year of experience with Python.
- Preferred experience with telemetry-based software, software system design, application performance profiling, testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, and monitoring.
- Preferred front-end experience with Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework.
- Preferred experience with Make, Bazel, pip, npm, Ansible, Puppet, Docker, Containerd, LXC, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations.
- May be required to work extended hours or weekends depending on launch cadence.
