Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain services that handle real-time financial transactions.
- Co-own service architecture, resilience, and scalability using Domain-Driven Design principles.
- Own reliability in production by monitoring services, handling incidents, tracking post-release impact, and addressing regressions.
- Lead technical design discussions, anticipate risks, mentor less experienced engineers, and contribute to team technical leadership.
- Improve engineering practices by fixing flaky CI, running post-mortems, performing root cause analysis, and propagating learnings.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience with large-scale web application architecture and real production constraints.
- Ability to transfer quickly to similar technologies without prior experience in Qonto's exact stack.
- Experience writing tests, setting up monitoring, handling incidents methodically, and conducting root cause analysis.
- Ownership mindset focused on post-release impact, regression detection, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Frontend and Mobile engineers, and other teams.
- Fluency in English.
