Responsibilities

  • Build and manage cloud platforms supporting ongoing projects.
  • Create reliable systems and services using automation and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Partner with development teams to improve workflows through testing and release procedures.
  • Provide expertise across networks, security, and databases.
  • Gather and analyse operating-system and application metrics for performance tuning and fault finding.
  • Deploy and improve complex systems across software, infrastructure, and integration boundaries.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience building or operating systems on cloud, virtualised, or on-premises infrastructure.
  • Hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation, plus configuration-management and automation experience such as Ansible.
  • Ability to build and deploy versioned containers into a container orchestration service.
  • Coding or scripting experience in at least one of Python, Golang, JavaScript, or Bash.
  • Awareness of secure system design and frameworks such as the NCSC Cloud Security Principles or equivalent.
  • Ability to improve system reliability, security, and maintainability through engineering practices.
  • Desirable experience with compute, networking, storage, identity management, multi-account or multi-tenant environments, observability tools, GitOps, and Linux.
  • Must be eligible for SC clearance.
