Responsibilities
- Build and evolve a scalable, reliable, and developer-friendly internal platform for software development, deployment, and operations.
- Develop automation and tooling that abstracts platform complexity and improves developer experience and operational efficiency.
- Use Terraform, Helm, and Crossplane to provision and manage cloud infrastructure and support GitOps practices.
- Establish monitoring and logging foundations in collaboration with the Site Reliability Engineering function.
- Apply security and reliability practices, support compliance, and participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
- Coordinate platform upgrades with internal and external stakeholders and hold service providers accountable.
Requirements
- Experience building and shipping production applications.
- Experience using cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- A strong desire for or experience creating and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in production.
- A foundational understanding of distributed systems.
- Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code technologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with curiosity and a problem-solving mindset.
