Responsibilities

  • Deliver enterprise-scale custom software development and integration projects.
  • Write Java application code and automation tools and scripts.
  • Provision services and apply software engineering practices across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Build reliable, performant, and operationally sound services.
  • Use containerisation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and test-driven development practices.
  • Design or contribute to microservice-based architectures using domain-driven design, CQRS, and event sourcing.

Requirements

  • Experience with Java.
  • Experience with the Spring framework or an equivalent.
  • Knowledge of software design patterns and when to apply them.
  • Excellent knowledge of software development processes.
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes containerisation.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Commitment to delivering quality code and maintaining high software quality standards.
  • Desirable knowledge of microservice architectures, domain-driven design, CQRS, event sourcing, Kubernetes, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Successful completion of Developed Vetting security clearance is required.
  • Continuous UK residence for the last 10 years is required for Developed Vetting clearance.
