Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable application platforms and deployment environments.
- Support and enhance Python-based web applications and services using modern front-end technologies such as React and Vite.
- Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines, automation, and developer tooling.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to improve reliability and performance.
- Manage and optimise Azure cloud infrastructure, Docker-based containerised environments, and platform configurations.
- Embed security and operational best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
- Develop reusable patterns, self-service capabilities, and common platform standards with engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and deployment issues and contribute to architecture decisions and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience developing and supporting Python web applications.
- Good understanding of modern front-end development tooling, particularly React and Vite.
- Experience with Azure cloud services, cloud-native application deployment, Docker, containerised applications, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals.
- Knowledge of application security principles and secure software delivery practices.
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Desirable experience with FastAPI or similar Python frameworks, AWS alongside Azure, Terraform or Bicep, data platforms, AI or analytics workloads, and consulting, professional services, or client-facing environments.
