Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure with Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Operate Kubernetes, GitOps, and observability tooling in production.
- Investigate and resolve platform issues and contribute to incident response and post-incident improvements.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation.
- Support progressive rollouts, canary deployments, safe rollbacks, CI/CD, and developer tooling.
- Partner with engineering teams on infrastructure, database, and deployment best practices.
- Improve self-service platform capabilities and adoption.
- Apply security practices including policy-as-code, OIDC-based cloud access, secret scanning, and pre-merge controls.
- Use AI-assisted tooling for code generation, debugging, and platform operations.
- Share knowledge through documentation, pairing, and code reviews.
Requirements
- Practical experience deploying and supporting applications running on Kubernetes.
- Experience working with a cloud platform, ideally AWS.
- Working knowledge of infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform.
- Experience with modern CI/CD tooling.
- Comfort scripting with at least one of TypeScript/Node, Python, or Go.
- Good grounding in Linux, networking, and security fundamentals.
- Experience troubleshooting production systems and operational issues.
- Useful experience includes Terragrunt or Helm; GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Flux; Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana; PostgreSQL or MySQL; developer-experience or internal-platform improvements; and security tooling or policy-as-code.
