Responsibilities
- Implement and support improvements that enhance efficiency, software quality, and delivery speed.
- Maintain DevOps tooling, containers, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support platforms and products within the Application Support team through a mix of development, DevOps, and operational work.
- Create and maintain AWS, Terraform, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Helm, Jenkins, and related deployment tooling.
- Support Kafka, Java development teams, databases, architecture, integrations, and schema change management.
- Use monitoring and proactive automation to improve system reliability and performance.
- Translate stakeholder and business requirements into technical implementations and facilitate business knowledge.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and help define DevOps best practices.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and practical experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Terraform, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Kafka, KOWL, Helm, Jenkins, and Liquibase.
- Experience working with Java development teams and multiple ecosystem databases, architectures, and integrations.
- Understanding of monitoring, system reliability and performance, container orchestration, package management, and GitOps principles.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and business subject-matter expertise skills.
- A curiosity to explore new technologies and an automation-focused, proactive mindset.
- Willingness to travel, the right to work in the UK, and the ability to attain UK Security Clearance.
