Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction, architecture, service boundaries, data flows, and long-term technical strategy for Revenue Management systems.
- Build engineering pipelines, standards, evaluation loops, and agent-assisted processes for coding, testing, and shipping across teams.
- Solve complex backend problems involving performance, correctness, migrations, and incidents.
- Design testing, evaluation, and observability for pricing logic and agentic components.
- Define safety guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, failure behavior, non-functional requirements, and enforceable architectural constraints.
- Lead through design reviews, pairing, written design documents, ADRs, and technical feedback across multiple engineering teams.
- Prototype emerging LLM and agent capabilities and turn successful approaches into reusable engineering foundations.
Requirements
- Many years of experience building and operating production backend systems while remaining hands-on in code.
- Strong experience with distributed systems processing high-volume data and making near-real-time decisions, including APIs, event streams, storage, consistency, and failure modes.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and comfort with cloud solutions.
- Experience building or shipping LLM-based or agentic systems and evaluating, constraining, and monitoring their behavior.
- Demonstrated technical leadership setting direction across multiple teams and making evidence-based architectural decisions.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to create durable design documents.
- Experience in pricing, revenue management, or other commercial decisioning domains is valued.
