Responsibilities
- Conduct security reviews and threat modeling for new features and systems.
- Build and maintain security tooling for vulnerability scanning and monitoring.
- Partner with engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities and harden systems.
- Support compliance and audit efforts as the platform scales.
- Own day-to-day security engineering execution, vulnerability remediation, security improvements, and continuous control validation.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience in application or infrastructure security engineering.
- Experience with public cloud services including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- At least 2 years of deep understanding of object-oriented programming and experience with Java, Go, Python, C++, or C#.
- Experience building large-scale distributed systems, particularly in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with security frameworks, threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, and remediation tooling.
- Experience securing AI-assisted development workflows built with Claude and similar tools, including agent loops and tool use.
- Preferred: a relevant security certification such as CISSP or OSCP.
- Preferred: experience securing networking or IoT platforms.
- Preferred: knowledge of MySQL or Postgres and open-source technologies such as ZooKeeper or MongoDB.
- Preferred: experience building services with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Preferred: knowledge of network technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, or load balancers.
- Preferred: familiarity with OWASP LLM/Agentic Top 10, MITRE ATLAS, and security controls for AI-assisted and agentic software development lifecycles.
