Responsibilities
- Own and operate critical payment services and cloud infrastructure to ensure availability, resiliency, performance, and operational stability.
- Drive monitoring, observability, incident management, problem management, and continuous service improvements.
- Use Datadog, CloudWatch, and enterprise observability tooling to detect, diagnose, and prevent customer-impacting issues.
- Lead incident recovery, conduct root cause analysis, and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Automate operational processes and develop self-healing capabilities to eliminate toil.
- Improve service-level indicators, objectives monitoring, alerting, and reliability transparency.
- Apply authorized AI capabilities to incident triage, troubleshooting, runbook drafting, and post-incident analysis with appropriate validation and data controls.
- Develop expertise in payment transaction flows and identify reliability risks across the payment lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- Ability to code in at least one programming language.
- Experience maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and familiarity with site reliability concepts and practices.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools and techniques.
- Experience using AWS and integrating it with Datadog.
- Working knowledge of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for SRE workflows, including validating recommendations for correctness, risk, resiliency, security, and auditability.
- Exposure to ITIL processes and continuous integration and continuous delivery practices and tooling.
- Preferred: public cloud experience and AWS Certification.
- Preferred: experience in banking and payment domains, including SWIFT, real-time payments, FX cross-currency, payment clearing, or partner bank systems.
- Ability to collaborate across geographies, manage complex requirements, and adapt to changing priorities.
