Responsibilities
- Lead and execute complex applied research initiatives independently.
- Address difficult modeling problems requiring coordination across stakeholders.
- Design architectures that respect MLOps constraints for optimized models.
- Develop innovative solutions for project-level challenges.
- Participate in cross-functional collaborations for research integration.
- Establish technical standards for experimentation and model evaluation.
- Serve as a technical mentor for senior engineers and researchers.
- Contribute to the function's growth through hiring and internal task forces.
- Participate in research collaborations that align with Nubank’s goals.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience in applied AI/ML with a proven track record.
- Deep expertise in Deep Learning architectures like Transformers and GNNs.
- Strong coding skills in Python and proficiency with frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Solid understanding of MLOps and model deployment constraints.
- Sophisticated skills in ML problem formulation and data navigation.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with large-scale experimentation and A/B testing.
