Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and new commercial applications.
  • Interact with product managers and users to define system requirements and necessary modifications.
  • Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
  • Write technical specifications based on conceptual designs and business requirements.
  • Write code, complete programming, and perform application testing and debugging.
  • Complete documentation and procedures for application installation and maintenance.
  • Train and communicate with internal client training, client relationship, and sales teams on system applications.
  • Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business audiences when needed.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Java 8, Spring Framework, multithreading, design frameworks, SQL, and collections.
  • Strong knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming concepts and principles.
  • Experience with web services, preferably REST APIs, XML, and JSON.
  • Knowledge of coding, security, unit testing, and documentation standards and practices.
  • Knowledge of SonarQube, Checkmarx, relational databases, SQL, Oracle, and PL/SQL.
  • Experience working on Unix/Linux platforms.
  • Experience with build management systems such as Maven and Gradle, and with GitHub.
  • Knowledge of Agile QA/development processes and the software development life cycle.
  • Basic knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices.
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and self-starting abilities.
