Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the architecture strategy for enterprise-scale Windchill migration and transformation programs.
  • Assess current PLM landscapes and define target-state architectures with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and engineering teams.
  • Lead migration assessments, data discovery, system analysis, and roadmap development.
  • Design migration approaches for parts, documents, CAD data, BOMs, change objects, classifications, lifecycle states, users, roles, and product structures.
  • Define architecture standards, migration frameworks, data governance models, and PLM transformation best practices.
  • Architect migration solutions using Windchill APIs, Windchill REST Services, Info*Engine, and enterprise integration technologies.
  • Lead data mapping, transformation, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation processes.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, solution design workshops, and technical governance meetings.
  • Support Windchill upgrades, cloud migrations, application modernization, and digital engineering initiatives.
  • Drive technical risk assessment, dependency management, cutover planning, and production migration strategies.
  • Provide thought leadership and mentoring to project teams, technical leads, and developers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of overall IT experience, including at least 8 years in PTC Windchill PLM implementation, migration, or architecture roles.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise PLM architecture, solution design, and large-scale Windchill transformation programs.
  • Deep understanding of the Windchill data model, WTPart, EPMDocument, change management, product structure management, lifecycle management, workflow, and classification.
  • Extensive experience migrating from legacy PLM systems, Teamcenter, ENOVIA, Agile PLM, and custom repositories to Windchill.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Windchill APIs, Windchill REST Services, Info*Engine, web services, and Windchill customization frameworks.
  • Strong experience with migration architecture, ETL frameworks, data quality management, reconciliation, and validation methodologies.
  • Experience with Java/J2EE development, SQL, XML, JSON, and enterprise integration technologies.
  • Expertise integrating PLM with SAP, ERP systems, MES applications, and engineering tool ecosystems.
  • Experience with CAD integrations including Creo, CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of cloud transformation, infrastructure architecture, security, performance optimization, and high-availability considerations.
