Base Salary
$138k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, scalable, high-quality software solutions.
- Review and debug code written by other engineers and establish consistent secure coding, peer review, and automated testing practices.
- Lead adoption and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring issue remediation and improve application and system operational stability.
- Lead technical evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams regarding architecture and technology applicability.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- At least 8 years of applied software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced Java development and design skills, with hands-on Spring Boot and React.js experience.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and strong understanding of application resiliency and security.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Practical cloud-native experience such as AWS or similar.
- Financial services or banking industry experience is preferred.
