Responsibilities
- Design systems involving multithreading, synchronization, I/O, latency requirements, and real-time operation.
- Develop high-performance C++ cores and integrate them with managed runtime services including .NET and Rust.
- Profile and optimize threading behavior, lock contention, memory allocation, scalability, and predictable latency.
- Maintain code quality through code reviews, unit testing, architecture reviews, and documented design practices.
- Modernize build systems, manage dependencies, support secure software supply-chain practices, and maintain Linux/Windows compatibility.
- Contribute to feature roadmaps, refactoring initiatives, legacy-code modernization, and cross-disciplinary technical designs.
- Develop and deliver reliable software for power-grid management and monitoring systems.
- Translate business and customer requirements into clear technical and architectural designs.
Requirements
- University degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in senior technical roles.
- Advanced proficiency in modern C++ with deep knowledge of RAII, smart pointers, STL, concurrency, and memory management.
- Strong experience with multithreading, synchronization primitives, asynchronous I/O, real-time system design, performance profiling, optimization, and low-latency systems.
- Practical knowledge of C# development is a plus.
- Proficiency with CMake, Visual Studio, and cross-platform development for Windows and Linux.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture patterns.
- Understanding of software architecture, secure and scalable system design, unit and integration testing, and non-functional requirements.
- Practical experience with power-grid management and monitoring, power-grid operations, and applicable standards.
- Experience with SCADA, IED, RTU, IEC-60870-5-104, DNP3, OPC UA, and IEEE C37.118 is a plus.
- Experience working directly with power-grid industry clients and translating customer requirements into technical designs.
- Excellent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-disciplinary team.
