Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and deliver long-term-impact software within existing system architecture.
  • Maintain the technology stack and debug and fix issues.
  • Build features, reusable components, products, and developer environments with product managers, architects, and engineering teams.
  • Create and improve robust automated test suites and continuous integration practices.
  • Integrate metrics and service-level indicators into features to monitor, improve, and horizontally scale services.
  • Lead code reviews and use customer experience knowledge to prevent future problems.
  • Follow the software development lifecycle in an Agile methodology.

Requirements

  • Experience in software engineering and large-scale SaaS application development.
  • Solid production knowledge of Go.
  • Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and other container technologies.
  • Knowledge of operating system internals, preferably Linux.
  • Experience tuning application performance and engineering for scalability.
  • Understanding of software within larger microservice architectures.
  • Preferred knowledge of Python, C++, AWS or Azure, Terraform, Puppet, software security, computer networks, and gRPC.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and comprehension skills.
