Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver long-term-impact software within existing system architecture.
- Maintain the technology stack and debug and fix issues.
- Build features, reusable components, products, and developer environments with product managers, architects, and engineering teams.
- Create and improve robust automated test suites and continuous integration practices.
- Integrate metrics and service-level indicators into features to monitor, improve, and horizontally scale services.
- Lead code reviews and use customer experience knowledge to prevent future problems.
- Follow the software development lifecycle in an Agile methodology.
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering and large-scale SaaS application development.
- Solid production knowledge of Go.
- Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and other container technologies.
- Knowledge of operating system internals, preferably Linux.
- Experience tuning application performance and engineering for scalability.
- Understanding of software within larger microservice architectures.
- Preferred knowledge of Python, C++, AWS or Azure, Terraform, Puppet, software security, computer networks, and gRPC.
- Strong verbal and written communication and comprehension skills.
