Base Salary

$90k - $185k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Implement, test, and maintain machine learning models for fraud detection and risk assessment.
  • Support feature engineering, data validation, and model experimentation under senior-engineer guidance.
  • Assist with deploying models into production through established MLOps pipelines and tooling.
  • Build reliable training and inference datasets from structured and semi-structured data.
  • Contribute to batch and near-real-time ML pipelines for fraud scoring and decisioning.
  • Monitor data quality, model performance, and system reliability.
  • Write clean, tested, and maintainable Python and/or Java code.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and post-incident reviews.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and senior ML engineers while developing production ML expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience building or supporting ML models or data pipelines; internships count.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning model training, evaluation, and deployment concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn production ML systems.
  • Preferred: exposure to fraud detection, risk modeling, or anomaly detection.
  • Preferred: familiarity with SQL and large-scale data platforms such as Spark or Snowflake.
  • Preferred: experience with AWS or Azure, or containerized environments.
  • Preferred: interest in responsible AI, model monitoring, and explainability.
