Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and execute manual and automated tests for FactoryTalk Optix features.
- Validate design-time and runtime workflows for reliable customer experiences.
- Lead test planning, estimation, execution, and defect triage on an Agile team.
- Reproduce, document, and track defects with clear steps and supporting details.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and test engineers on requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Support regression, release, exploratory, performance, reliability, and longevity testing activities.
- Contribute to test documentation, quality procedures, and continuous improvement of test practices.
- Use JIRA, QTest, Confluence, GitHub, and Jenkins to support testing and quality tracking.
- Learn FactoryTalk Optix functionality and relevant industrial automation concepts.
- Collaborate with geographically distributed teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Typically at least 4 years of experience in software testing, software development, test automation, or a related technical role.
- Experience creating, executing, and documenting manual or automated test cases.
- Experience developing or maintaining automated tests using Python, C#, or similar programming or scripting languages.
- Experience with Squish and Selenium test frameworks.
- Experience creating or updating GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with Linux, test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, or QTest.
- Experience with industrial automation, HMI software, PLCs, and protocols such as CIP or OPC UA.
