Base Salary
$107k - $284k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical initiatives addressing complex enterprise-wide problems while ensuring maintainability, performance, and scalability.
- Design, build, maintain, and operate business-critical enterprise-grade distributed systems.
- Deliver incremental value through iterative, customer-focused releases.
- Drive long-term improvements focused on simplicity and maintainability.
- Collaborate across organizations to develop solutions for cross-functional needs.
- Research, propose, and adopt leading-edge technologies.
- Support continuous learning and mentorship for team members.
- Travel quarterly or as needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Strong foundations in software engineering, including problem solving, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and concurrency.
- Experience as a polyglot engineer using more than one of C++, C#, Java, Golang, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience using full-stack development to ship and operate large-scale systems.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and operating distributed systems at scale.
- Strong experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Familiarity with asynchronous, event-based architectures.
- At least 6 months of experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
- Preferred experience with Kafka, Protobuf, gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, application and performance monitoring platforms such as New Relic, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor's degree, specialized training, or relevant professional qualification is preferred.
