Responsibilities

  • Define, architect, and deliver Android features for digital financial products and customer experiences.
  • Make technical decisions involving application architecture, mobile security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Develop secure functionality for payments, transactions, digital wallets, authentication, identity verification, and fintech services.
  • Integrate APIs, payment gateways, banking services, and third-party financial platforms with backend engineering teams.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide technical mentorship, and promote Android engineering best practices.
  • Implement secure data storage, encryption, token-based authentication, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance controls.
  • Create reusable components, libraries, documentation, and technical standards for Android development.
  • Maintain mobile-application controls aligned with PCI-DSS mobile-payment requirements and comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least five years of fintech experience.
  • Strong experience with Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack Components, Coroutines, and modern Android development practices.
  • Deep understanding of MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, and modular application design.
  • Experience integrating payment solutions, digital wallets, transaction processing systems, KYC services, financial APIs, or banking platforms.
  • Proven experience publishing and maintaining Android applications on the Google Play Store.
  • Experience with unit, integration, and UI testing frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
