Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI-powered software applications and solutions.
- Translate business and user needs into technical specifications and scalable technical solutions.
- Build reusable AI skills, prompts, agents, workflows, and Generative AI patterns using LLMs, RAG, and AI orchestration frameworks.
- Design and deploy intelligent AI agents using AWS AgentCore for automation, business process optimization, and enterprise AI solutions.
- Collaborate on solution architecture, APIs, system integrations, microservices, and cloud-based deployments.
- Lead complex Generative AI initiatives from ideation through implementation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, engineering standards, coaching, and mentoring.
- Establish reusable development patterns, governance frameworks, and scalable engineering practices.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and assess their impact on systems, processes, data, risk, and business value.
- Perform testing, performance optimization, monitoring, debugging, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and issue resolution.
- Ensure code and configurations satisfy security, logging, error-handling, performance, privacy, governance, risk, and other non-functional requirements.
- Follow release management, version control, software development lifecycle, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve developer productivity.
- Support responsible AI practices and drive new Generative AI use cases across the bank.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in software development, application engineering, AI/ML engineering, or related technical roles.
- Experience leading complex technology initiatives and mentoring development teams.
- Strong programming, software development, design pattern, and modern engineering experience.
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale applications, cloud-native solutions, or AI-powered platforms.
- Experience with LLMs, Generative AI frameworks, AI agents, RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, knowledge retrieval, and prompt engineering.
- Experience with AWS AgentCore and knowledge of Model Context Protocol.
- Experience designing, consuming, and integrating RESTful APIs and Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
- Experience with LLM model selection, grounding, token optimization, performance tuning, evaluation methodologies, and cost optimization.
- Experience with SQL, Prompt Engineering, JIRA Rovo, cloud computing, microservices, system integrations, software testing, QA, and TDD.
- Understanding of secure software development, Responsible AI, AI governance, enterprise technology standards, Agile delivery environments, and SDLC frameworks.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence technical decisions, communicate complex concepts to business stakeholders, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, coaching, mentoring, adaptability, and continuous-learning capabilities.
- Preferred experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Java, multi-agent systems, conversational AI, vector databases, semantic search, AI observability, and regulated-industry GenAI solutions.
