Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the multi-cloud architecture of the Alfred Platform serving more than 100 internal teams.
- Set engineering standards for serverless systems, microservices, infrastructure automation, and observability.
- Architect and build systems for cloud account provisioning, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Lead Terraform module architecture for AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Design event-driven orchestration using cloud-native messaging and workflow services.
- Establish observability standards covering logs, metrics, traces, and alerting at scale.
- Define and integrate secure, auditable, explainable AI-assisted observability and automation capabilities.
- Drive reliability, performance, cost optimization, technical debt reduction, and platform modernization.
- Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and own the platform’s technical roadmap and scalability strategy.
- Partner with Security, Compliance, SRE, Product, global engineering teams, and cloud provider partners.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years in senior or principal-level roles.
- Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems and leading cross-team technical initiatives.
- Deep experience with at least two major cloud providers among AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Strong proficiency in Go and Python and advanced experience with Terraform and multi-cloud module ecosystems.
- Expertise in microservices, serverless, event-driven architectures, cloud security, identity, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Deep experience with observability at scale and a solid understanding of distributed systems concepts and failure modes.
- Experience designing, operating, or governing Kubernetes-based platforms such as EKS, AKS, or GKE.
- Preferred qualifications include AIOps experience, cloud governance and policy enforcement, FinOps and multi-cloud cost optimization, cloud certifications, and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent practical experience.
