Responsibilities
- Develop proof-of-concept prototypes for cybersecurity solutions aligned with security architecture and strategic goals.
- Identify and assess innovative cybersecurity tools, companies, technologies, and concepts.
- Transition prototypes into operational products and solutions with internal cybersecurity product development stakeholders.
- Monitor emerging cybersecurity trends, technologies, and practices affecting security posture.
- Automate and orchestrate security tools to accelerate malware-response and remediation activities.
- Provide direction, design, and oversight for major enterprise-wide security programs and plans.
- Oversee multiple projects, products, services, or security functions.
- Drive security architecture, design, implementation, and optimization for web, API, and mobile backend applications.
- Define security requirements, analyze threats and risks, and align solutions with security, engineering, IT, and architecture standards.
- Conduct security reviews and facilitate threat modeling and deep design reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop AI agents and automation to address cybersecurity problems.
- Advance security strategies involving access control, defense in depth, secure transaction processing, and secure coding practices.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in security architecting.
- Experience designing and protecting payment processing platforms, payment wallets, consumer-facing applications, public cloud environments, and enterprise platforms.
- Knowledge of zTPF, zOS, MVS, Linux, Windows, VMware, OpenStack, software-defined networking, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and technologies including IDS, SIEM, Tripwire, Tanium, NetWitness, NetFlow, WAF, HSMs, tokenization, and data encryption solutions.
- Experience with web technologies and services including HTTP, SOAP, REST, and AJAX.
- Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Couchbase, Cassandra, Riak, and Aerospike.
- Knowledge of Java, C, C++, .NET, JavaScript, Go, Erlang, and COBOL.
- Experience with Kafka, Coherence, MQ, Hadoop, ForgeRock, SiteMinder, and custom or in-house security frameworks.
- Ability to conduct security architecture reviews, threat modeling, proof-of-concept activities, and advanced use-case analysis.
- Knowledge of security architecture and design for web, API, mobile, and backend applications.
