Responsibilities
- Own automated checks that applications must pass to join the supported estate, including paved paths, observability, SLOs, alert routing, and clean-clone reproducibility.
- Run application graduation checks as pipeline jobs.
- Harden and publish AWS runtime foundations across Lambda, ECS, EKS, and Terraform, using Temporal for durable workflows.
- Implement OpenTelemetry-based observability and define SLOs with application business owners.
- Design agent-assisted incident response where an agent drafts fixes and a human approves them.
- Turn recurring failures into shared capability packages consumed by every repository.
Requirements
- Experience carrying a pager for systems built by other engineers and making incident response sustainable.
- Strong AWS skills and hands-on observability experience.
- Experience automating operational toil, defining effective SLOs, and building reliability practices.
- Ability to establish a reliability function and own deep operational improvements across an application estate.
