Base Salary
$52k - $101k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop modern RESTful APIs and enterprise integration services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement API layers connecting applications and diverse data sources.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects on system, software, database, storage, availability, disaster recovery, and production deployment design.
- Build and maintain continuous integration, continuous deployment, automated build, and automated testing processes.
- Develop unit tests and automated test scripts as part of routine development.
- Assist with Kafka use-case analysis, environment setup, data enrichment, and transformations.
- Support migration from physical and virtual machines to cloud-run environments and containers.
- Maintain and evolve existing integration assets, systems, processes, and platform operations.
- Work with vendor partners and business owners to deliver scalable solutions that meet business and customer needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of related software development experience, including creating and maintaining application interfaces between data sources and applications.
- Qualified candidates may substitute successful completion of Huntington's Technical Youth training or part of its apprenticeship training program for related experience.
- At least 1 year of DevOps experience.
- 1–3+ years of strong Java development experience with the Spring Framework, Eclipse, Maven, and Gradle.
- 1–3+ years of experience developing application interfaces with Java or similar object-oriented languages.
- Experience with REST, JSON, or SOAP web interfaces.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment methodologies.
- Experience with Chef, Puppet, or similar deployment automation products.
- Experience with Git and web interfaces such as GitHub.
- Experience with Jenkins and automated testing frameworks such as JUnit.
- Preferred qualifications include SDLC experience, strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, analytical problem-solving ability, task prioritization, flexibility, and teamwork.
