Responsibilities
- Design and develop the Backup and Restore service for STACKIT Distributed Cloud.
- Build scalable, secure, and reliable cloud software for customers.
- Continuously automate and optimize technical processes.
- Conduct problem and error analyses and identify sustainable solutions.
- Use and contribute to open-source projects supporting European digital sovereignty.
Requirements
- Experienced software developer with expertise in Go or similar languages such as Rust, C, C++, or Python.
- Proficiency in developing and deploying software with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
- Understanding of distributed application development and the cloud-native landscape.
- Knowledge of components within the CNCF ecosystem.
- Experience with interface and communication technologies such as gRPC.
- Strong understanding of software design and architectural patterns.
- Experience developing Kubernetes operators is preferred.
- Knowledge of Ceph and familiarity with Talos, Cilium, and CoreDNS are preferred.
