Responsibilities
- Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of Thales PAY Digital cloud services in line with customer SLAs and SLOs.
- Respond to production incidents, lead troubleshooting, coordinate recovery, participate in on-call and escalation processes, and implement corrective actions after postmortems.
- Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation solutions using Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and scripting.
- Support and validate cloud deployments across AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes.
- Provide technical expertise and risk assessment for change management, including change planning, validation, rollback strategies, and release readiness.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability using metrics, logs, traces, Datadog, and Splunk.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, technological monitoring, and operational-readiness activities.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and development squads on operational needs and new service evolutions.
Requirements
- Experience in systems, networking, and security operations.
- Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and/or GCP.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code, including GitLab CI and Terraform.
- Proficiency in Linux, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of observability and monitoring tools, including Datadog, Splunk, and logs, metrics, and traces.
- Solid scripting skills in Shell and/or Python.
- Knowledge of SRE principles such as SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, automation, and incident management.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps ways of working and experience in service delivery, operational readiness, and production support.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, ownership, and customer-oriented skills.
