Base Salary
$138k - $173k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write robust, maintainable iOS code and provide guidance on designs that address business requirements.
- Collaborate across the development team and contribute to design, development, documentation, testing, and operations.
- Mentor engineers, unblock the team, guide decision-making, and promote engineering best practices.
- Improve automated and unit testing, code coverage, application performance, and use of network, CPU, and memory resources.
- Guide non-functional requirements and ensure adherence to acceptance criteria, security, privacy, and quality standards.
- Lead root-cause analysis of issues and improve application logging and monitoring metrics.
- Communicate priorities and delivery risks, build relationships outside the team, and showcase engineering capabilities.
- Foster team growth through constructive feedback, concrete goals, and alignment with McDonald’s values.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Programming experience with Swift, Objective-C, and iOS platform frameworks including UIKit, SwiftUI, Foundation, and Combine.
- B2 English proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Experience with the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, and evolution.
- Experience with unit testing and version control tools, particularly Git.
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience debugging production applications with Instruments, Xcode profilers, New Relic, SonarQube, and DataDog or similar tools.
- Demonstrated engineering leadership, operational excellence, best-practice development, collaborative problem-solving, and attention to quality, security, privacy, and customer experience.
