Responsibilities
- Build and maintain current and future NOCD Flutter applications, including multiple greenfield projects.
- Own and evolve the flagship Flutter Android application supporting patient-facing telehealth experiences.
- Develop high-performance mobile features using Flutter and Dart, including appropriate architecture, state management, testing, and performance practices.
- Collaborate with backend engineers and contribute Python endpoints as needed to support mobile features.
- Partner with product, design, clinical, data, and marketing teams to solve user problems and support analytics or experimentation needs.
- Help shape mobile engineering practices, patterns, and code quality as the team grows.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of professional mobile development experience in Flutter and/or native Android, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- At least 2 years of hands-on Flutter development using Dart.
- Strong proficiency in Flutter and Dart, including modern state management and performance considerations.
- Experience shipping, maintaining, and iterating on production iOS and/or Android applications.
- A portfolio or examples of shipped apps, features, or personal projects.
- Strong design sense and attention to UI detail.
- Understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and testing practices.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and an ownership mindset.
- Native iOS experience with Swift or Android experience with Java or Kotlin is an additional qualification.
- Python experience or willingness to learn is an additional qualification.
- Interest in supporting data analytics infrastructure and tooling such as BigQuery and Colab Notebooks is an additional qualification.
- Entrepreneurship, indie hacking, freelancing, or agency experience is an additional qualification.
