Base Salary

$124k - $226k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build high-quality Android experiences for the Fable app.
  • Develop features across the app while contributing to product planning and technical direction.
  • Drive the Android architectural roadmap and improve app performance, stability, and foundations.
  • Collaborate with product, design, QE, and engineering partners to deliver performant, intuitive, and polished features.
  • Improve code quality, test coverage, and release reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentorship, and design discussions.
  • Own work from concept through release and apply a user-first approach to technical decisions.
  • Use AI coding tools to increase development velocity and automate parts of the software development process.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Android development experience with a strong record of building and shipping high-quality consumer apps at scale.
  • Strong Kotlin skills and deep experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flows, and modern Android architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVI.
  • Strong understanding of usability, accessibility, performance, and intuitive interface development.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, design, and QA partners.
  • Ability to take end-to-end ownership, communicate proactively, mentor others, and contribute to long-term technical direction.
  • Preferred: experience improving reliability, load performance, or crash metrics in large-scale Android apps.
  • Preferred: exposure to Firebase or similar authentication frameworks and subscription-oriented flows.
  • Preferred: proficiency applying agentic or AI coding tools to Android development.
