Base Salary
$150k - $308k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to prototyping, A/B testing, architecture, development, and release of scalable Android features and frameworks.
- Drive initiatives involving modularization, scalable architecture, advanced media handling, dependency injection, and reusable UI components.
- Maintain and improve the quality, stability, and reliability of foundational and shared components.
- Develop and use build automation, testing automation, and CI/CD systems for mobile engineering.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and mobile platform teams.
- Mentor peers and drive high-impact technical initiatives from vision through launch.
- Use AI thoughtfully for drafting, prototyping, design validation, and execution while verifying outputs.
- Protect sensitive data and remain accountable for technical decisions and deliverables.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Android experience delivering consumer or business-facing products at scale.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency with Android best practices and modern development using Kotlin and/or Java, including activity lifecycle, memory management, and modular app architecture.
- Strong experience with Gradle, CI/CD, automated testing, Buildkite, and Android Studio.
- Experience writing reliable and maintainable code for use by large engineering teams.
- Demonstrated use of AI/ML tools to improve engineering velocity and quality, with critical evaluation and validation of outputs.
- Strong ownership, safety, data protection, integrity, and accountability.
