Base Salary

$178k - $257k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize cloud and data infrastructure for high availability, reliability, scalability, and enterprise customer needs.
  • Implement SRE practices including monitoring, alerting, error budgets, fault analysis, postmortems, and proactive performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with development, product, security, service engineering, customers, and other stakeholders to create secure, scalable solutions and improve operational efficiency through automation.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root-cause analyses, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead architectural vision, technical strategy, roadmaps, infrastructure planning, and deployment processes at enterprise scale.
  • Mentor engineers, provide technical leadership, establish engineering and operational standards, and influence technical direction.
  • Engage customers and stakeholders to understand use cases and translate feedback into actionable technical insights.
  • Use strong programming and systems engineering skills to build core data platform capabilities and infrastructure automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of related experience, master’s degree plus 8 years, or PhD plus 5 years.
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, reliable, production-ready solutions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and infrastructure as code using Terraform or Ansible.
  • Experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes or EKS, networking, security, and CI/CD.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar programming languages and strong software development fundamentals.
  • Preferred experience building or managing cloud-based data platforms, infrastructure automation and orchestration, and highly available systems at scale.
  • Preferred experience architecting software and infrastructure at scale, providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and working with cloud and infrastructure security.
  • Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, prioritization, ownership, and accountability skills.
  • Preferred CKA, CKAD, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent cloud or security certifications.
