Responsibilities
- Create, own, and continuously improve practical, measurable resiliency guidelines for technology management and application teams.
- Define reference architectures, architectural guardrails, maturity models, and reliability standards for resilient, observable, and operable systems.
- Support incident response and root cause analysis by identifying systemic failure modes, resiliency gaps, and preventive measures.
- Develop infrastructure configuration, application lifecycle management, and operational automation to improve consistency and resiliency.
- Implement and improve monitoring and observability capabilities, including metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting.
- Contribute targeted code, validate architectural decisions through implementation, and partner with engineers on critical components.
- Build and sustain an SRE community of practice while collaborating with product, development, operations, and technology leadership teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in site reliability, systems engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
- Experience evolving reliable, scalable system architectures using availability, resiliency, and fault-tolerance patterns.
- Experience translating architectural standards into practical implementations with engineering and operations teams.
- Experience across cloud and on-premises environments with an architectural focus on consistency, observability, and operational maturity.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, and modern application architectures.
- Hands-on experience with observability solutions and standards for metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, C#, or Java.
- Proficiency with at least one infrastructure-as-code or configuration-management language such as Terraform, Bicep/ARM, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
- Experience delivering Infrastructure as Code and application deployment automation through CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain architectural trade-offs and reliability strategies to diverse stakeholders.

- Salary range is $137,400-$233,600 USD in base pay.
