Base Salary
$238k - $288k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own AI-powered features from design through deployment, partnering with product, design, and engineering teams to define scope and success metrics.
- Build and operate AI-based experiences for internal and external customers.
- Develop domain knowledge, answer product-area questions, and document learnings for the team.
- Prioritize feature development, quality, and maintenance independently while communicating tradeoffs.
- Troubleshoot deployment pipelines, including build, test, and release processes for ML services and data pipelines.
- Use monitoring and observability tools to triage alerts and incidents, restore service, prevent recurrence, and participate in on-call and incident response.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for owned features and services, including data contracts, SLAs, and dependencies.
- Use and champion adoption of AI tools across the company.
Requirements
- 6+ years of industry experience in applied AI/ML and software engineering.
- Demonstrated track record of shipping and operating AI/ML applications in production.
- Experience with GenAI product architecture, system design, and implementation.
- Hands-on experience implementing AI/ML solutions for high-traffic, low-latency, large-data applications with tangible end-user impact.
- Understanding of foundation models and the open-source ecosystem, including model fine-tuning and prompt engineering.
- Strong programming and data engineering skills, including Python, Scala, Java, and SQL.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States; Calendly does not provide immigration sponsorship.
