Base Salary
$275k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own customer-facing features end-to-end from design through shipping and iteration with minimal product-management oversight.
- Build and maintain backend systems, APIs, data models, and automation pipelines.
- Integrate external tools, legacy systems, and third-party services.
- Design workflows and orchestration for AI- and automation-driven product features.
- Debug production issues and make engineering trade-offs under pressure.
- Collaborate with founders, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Perform full-stack work when needed while maintaining a primary focus on backend ownership.
Requirements
- Hands-on backend software engineering experience designing, implementing, and shipping customer-facing features.
- Demonstrated ownership of the full feature lifecycle, including ideation, implementation, and customer-feedback-driven iteration.
- Track record of shipping real products, ideally in 0-to-1 or ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
- Must be based in San Francisco or willing to relocate, with hybrid or in-office presence required.
- Preferred qualifications include applied AI, agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, LLM-enabled features, Python, systems integration, early-stage startup experience, or a founding-engineer background.
