Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test, and deliver scalable full-stack features and services for fraud protection and trusted customer experiences.
  • Lead API design and technical approaches for features spanning user interfaces, services, data, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Own technical delivery for a component or feature area and translate business goals into maintainable technical solutions.
  • Write high-quality tested code, conduct code reviews, establish standards, and mentor engineers.
  • Improve validation policies, deployment guardrails, packaging reliability, and production readiness across release workflows.
  • Lead systems design discussions and evaluate scalability, reliability, performance, and security tradeoffs.
  • Strengthen observability, investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve system resiliency and secure coding practices.
  • Partner with product managers, UX designers, risk stakeholders, and engineering peers in an agile environment.
  • Evaluate AI-generated solutions for quality, security, and maintainability and identify valuable AI-assisted features or workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least three years of professional experience building modern web applications and backend systems with production ownership.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented and/or functional design principles.
  • Experience with modern agile software development lifecycles, Git-based workflows, and collaborative engineering practices.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript and experience with React, Redux, ES6, or similar technologies.
  • Experience building RESTful services using Java or Node.js and integrating relational and/or NoSQL data stores.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, or similar tools.
  • Strong communication skills, engineering judgment, and the ability to influence technical decisions across cross-functional partners.
  • Preferred experience with AWS or other cloud platforms, containerized applications, microservices architectures, distributed systems, observability, monitoring, alerting, performance tuning, production diagnostics, secure coding, threat modeling, vulnerability remediation, fraud, risk, identity, or trust-and-safety platforms.
  • Preferred experience designing cloud-aware or cloud-agnostic services, mentoring engineers, and improving engineering practices; relevant cloud, secure coding, or security engineering certifications are a plus.
