Responsibilities
- Build products that empower artists and record labels globally.
- Contribute across all architectural tiers to deliver robust, high-quality user experiences.
- Write clean, tested, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate with product management to understand client requirements.
- Design, communicate, and execute technical vision with the team and broader technology organization.
- Participate in system re-architecture, refinement, and technical design.
- Mentor junior engineers and support a culture of continuous learning.
- Define team best practices and standards and help build tooling that makes them easy to follow.
- Optimize tables, schemas, and data structures and determine sensible KPIs.
Requirements
- 20+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience implementing distributed systems.
- Experience with scripting languages, including Python and JavaScript.
- Experience building frontend applications with TypeScript, React, and GraphQL.
- Experience with database technologies and query languages, including Neo4j, Kafka, MySQL, Snowflake, and OpenSearch.
- Familiarity with low-latency techniques for improving page-load time and reliability.
- Experience with microservices, APIs, REST, HTTP, and OAuth.
- Comfort with AWS Cloud technologies.
- Experience using log analysis to investigate bugs and performance issues.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests and working in an agile team.
- Experience with data modeling and schema design for real-world use cases.
- Prior experience with machine learning builds and releases at commercial scale.
- Proactive problem-solving ability and the ability to mobilize teams around a vision and lead execution.
