Responsibilities
- Build and ship iOS features in Swift using modern concurrency, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
- Deliver functionality for checkout, receipts, product libraries, inventory, purchase history, refunds, and invoices.
- Integrate backend services through REST and GraphQL and manage authentication and session flows.
- Work with Bluetooth reader connectivity and Apple payment frameworks, including Tap to Pay on iPhone.
- Write unit and UI tests, participate in code reviews and staged releases, and support mobile CI/CD pipelines.
- Investigate crashes and production issues using analytics and monitoring, then fix root causes.
- Improve merchant sign-in and onboarding during the transition from legacy Zettle identity to PayPal identity.
- Collaborate across time zones and create runbooks, design notes, decision records, and other documentation.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 to 3 years of iOS development experience with strong Swift skills.
- Hands-on experience with SwiftUI and/or UIKit, networking, local persistence, and concurrency.
- Experience with unit and UI testing and CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
- Understanding of secure handling of sensitive data on devices.
- Clear written and spoken English and comfort collaborating with teams in Bangalore and Sweden.
- Preferred experience includes Objective-C, GraphQL clients, in-app payments, Bluetooth peripherals, NFC, or Apple Tap to Pay on iPhone.
