Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain foundational Android frameworks and shared components.
- Write high-quality, efficient, and tested code for native Android applications and participate in code reviews.
- Define and improve engineering standards, codebase consistency, and mobile development processes and tools.
- Support architecture and additional contributors while taking ownership of end-to-end product quality.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers on mobile product development.
- Create prototypes, explore emerging mobile technologies, and optimize app performance and stability.
- Monitor app performance metrics to identify insights and drive improvements.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing through technical blog content.
Requirements
- Experience developing native Android mobile applications with Android Architecture, Android Framework, Android SDK, Kotlin or Java, and Android Studio.
- At least 1 year of experience solving low-level design problems in mobile app development.
- Expertise with Android UI components and controls, including Jetpack Compose, Action Bars, Widgets, and Fragments.
- Expertise with Activity and Fragment lifecycles, Services, Intents, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers.
- Experience integrating web services and using cloud technologies such as AWS, GAE, and Firebase.
- Experience with analytics, location, and social APIs and dependency injection frameworks.
- Strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and commitment to high-quality software delivery.
- Deep understanding of mobile performance metrics and improvement strategies.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2–4 years of professional experience as an Android mobile developer with hands-on Java or Kotlin experience.
- AdTech domain experience and knowledge of VAST and serving protocols are bonuses.
