Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle from ideation and design through delivery and production support.
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, high-performing solutions across the technology stack.
- Develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern engineering and automated testing practices.
- Drive quality, engineering standards, and continuous improvement within ING’s Agile and Continuous Delivery practices.
- Mentor and coach engineers while fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, ownership, and professional growth.
- Champion security-by-design and engineering best practices, and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience, including technical leadership of large-scale applications and projects.
- Expertise in modern web development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, web components, and responsive design.
- Strong focus on user experience and accessibility.
- Deep understanding of software delivery practices, automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps, source control, and Agile ways of working.
- Experience designing and delivering secure, scalable, and maintainable full-stack solutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and mentor others.
- Demonstrated continuous learning through community involvement, knowledge sharing, innovation, and staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
