Base Salary
$170k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance data pipelines that ingest and transform data from diverse sources.
- Build and maintain flexible, secure, tenant-aware APIs and integrations with external systems.
- Work with event-driven and batch-processing architectures to maintain data freshness and consistency at scale.
- Design API and integration patterns supporting real-time and batch ingestion with varied authentication mechanisms.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and alerting for data freshness, failures, and performance.
- Optimize data flows and transformations for cost, efficiency, and rapid development in a cloud-native environment.
- Collaborate with data engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to build a flexible integration platform that is easy to extend and onboard new sources.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or integration engineering focused on ETL, APIs, and data pipeline orchestration.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience with API-based ETL using REST, GraphQL, and webhooks.
- Experience implementing authentication flows, including OAuth 2.0, API keys, and secrets management.
- Proficiency in SQL and BigQuery.
- Experience with orchestration frameworks such as Airflow.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and scaling workloads.
- Ability to balance rapid development with maintainability and long-term platform stability.
- Understanding of secure multi-tenant architectures is preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems, CRMs, CDPs, or other enterprise data tools and their APIs is preferred.
- Exposure to event-driven architectures and real-time data processing tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of data governance, GDPR, SOC2, and security best practices is preferred.
- Experience in a multi-tenant SaaS or large-scale data-intensive environment is preferred.
